How to Record and Analyse Calls From Your Team's Mobile SIMs

Your reps already call from their phones. Here is how to turn those calls into recordings and simple numbers you can coach from, without a cloud dialer.

Most sales managers in India are a little blind on their single biggest activity. Reps make dozens of calls a day from their own phones, and almost none of it is recorded or measured. You know the deal was lost. You do not know what was said on the call that lost it. Here is how to fix that, using the SIMs your team already carries.

1. Put the capture where the calls are: the phone

The calls happen on the rep's mobile, so that is where capture has to start. With SIM-based call analytics, the MeraUdyog mobile app reads the phone's call log, on any SIM and dual-SIM too, and matches each call to the right lead on its own. No manual logging, no typing numbers into a CRM after the fact.

2. Record on the phone, keep it in the cloud

The call is recorded on the phone while it happens, over the normal mobile network. Then the recording, along with the time, length and outcome, uploads to the cloud and attaches to the lead. A manager can listen from the web later, without ever picking up the rep's phone. Since recording happens on the device, it does not depend on a live connection at that moment. The upload simply catches up when data is back.

3. Tag the outcome so the data means something

A call log is only useful if each call has an outcome. Connected, no answer, wrong number, interested, wants a callback. Those tags turn a plain list of calls into something you can act on, and they can even set up the next step for you. A callback request can line up the next follow-up instead of living in someone's memory.

4. Watch the numbers that actually predict sales

Once calls are captured and tagged, the useful numbers add up on their own:

  • Connection rate: how many dials actually reach a person. More on call connection rate.
  • Meaningful calls: the real conversations, not the ten-second connects.
  • Average length and missed calls: early signs of both effort and demand.
  • By person, team and branch: so a branch running well below the average shows up before the quarter is over.

5. Coach from recordings, not memory

The most useful thing you get is the recording itself. Instead of asking a rep what happened on a lost deal, a manager listens to the call, or reads an AI summary of it, and coaches on what really happened. That is the difference between managing busywork and managing real conversations.

What you skip

No cloud telephony subscription, no virtual numbers, no porting, and no separate dialer to reconcile against your CRM. The call data lives on the same lead record as the pipeline, follow-ups and quotations inside Sales CRM, because that is where it was captured in the first place.

The calls are already happening. The only question is whether you can see them. SIM-based capture makes the answer yes, using the phones your team already has.
